Sit on  a porch rocker, sipping a lager while you watch the wildlife saunter by. Soak your bones in a clawfoot tub while reading the latest L. Frank Baum. Jump into the ice-cold swimming hole. Fall asleep in a chaise lounge while warming your toes by the coal grate. Hike the green trail with the kids and dog to meet George F. the bear. Climb up the cloud-high gazebo for an incredible view. Play a couple rounds of Crokinole while the player piano unrolls some tunes.

Blue Mountain House sat at the top of the mountain for 200 years, serving as a rest stop for travelers between Berks and Schuylkill Counties. This is its third incarnation. Meticulously outfitted, it offers the serenity of the early 1900s with the all conveniences of the 21st century (Running water! Electric lights! Broadband internet and cable TV. Hooray, a dishwasher!)
